Massimo Grossato was born in 1975; he began riding at the age of 8 at the “Società Ippica Torinese” horse stable. From an early age his brilliant equestrian skills in the discipline of show jumping were highlighted; he participated in 3 European Junior Championships and 2 European Young Rider Championships. Since 1996 he has been riding under the uniform of the Carabinieri. At present, he participated as a team member in about 50 Senior Nations Cups, resulting one of the outstanding athletes of the Italian team. He has participated twice in the senior European Championships and in a World Championship, always reaching the individual final of international events. Massimo took part three times in the Nations Cup World Finals and was a member of the team that qualified for the Athens Olympics. Riding Lazzaro delle Schiave, an Italian horse he grew up, in 2019 he qualified tenth overall at the Calgary Grand Prix and participated at the final of the Barcelona Nations Cup, qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics with 0 penalties. He is now working with some promising young people who, thanks to his patience, will be able to grow towards a bright future.
